About Me


Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I'm Zhao Ming, a sophomore pursuing Bachelor of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore.

During my free time, I like to developing softwares such as Telegram bots, mobile application and games. I'm currently into web development and this personal website is my first attempt in creating one.

Projects Done

SPLIT-IT


During my first summer break, I took part in a school summer project, Orbital. The project involved teaming up with a partner and developing a software product. Our pair developed a bill-splitting mobile application, Split-It. The mobile application is developed using React-Native. Hence, it is compatible in both Android and iOS.

Split-It aims to convenience the bill-splitting process. The main features of it includes the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature which allows users to scan their receipts. While developing the application, we ensure that it will cater more towards the Singapore context. This includes different payment options to settle the bills, such as through cash or E-wallet.

PROJECT DUKE


During my CS2103T Software Engineering Module, we are tasked with an individual project. The project entails developing a Personal Assistant Chatbot that helps a person to keep track of various things.

Besides meeting the necessary requirements needed for each level of developing the bot, students are also able to challenge themselves by including other features that might prove useful for their Chatbot. Therefore, I managed to include other back-end functionalities for my Chatbot.

I volunteer for Meet-the-People Sessions on a weekly basis under Changi Simei Constituency. The volunteers help to interview residents on their cases and type letters on their behalf to relevant organizations. In addition, I participated in an Overseas CIP, The Dream Project located in Cambodia. We travelled to an orphanage in Cambodia where we refurbished the area, conducted lessons and interacted with the orphans.

I'm currently a member of NUS Bizit Society, a student-led initiative established to be a nurturing ground for Business and IT students. As an aspiring entrepreneur, this CCA has not only allow me to hone my technical skills, but as expose me to different business models.

During my summer break I also participated in Freshmen Orientation Week as an Orientation Group Leader where I led a group of 16 freshmen through a 4 days camp.

I also spend my free time honing my coding proficiency by attempting challenging coding questions online from Kattis, Project Euler and UVA judge. Currently, my Kattis score is 555.1 which placed me in the top 50 position of coders in Singapore.
